Amambay

The Department of Amambay is located at the northern zone, on the border with Brazil, and maintains a close relationship with this country, from which it is separated by the mountains of the same name. Its capital is the city of Pedro Juan Caballero. People are mainly engaged in agricultural production, especially yerba mate, soybeans and wheat.
