Canindeyu

The Department of Canindeyú is located above the Alto Paraná territory, bordering Brazil, from which receives a strong influence. The border with this country is the Cordillera del Mbaracayú and its capital is Salto del Guaira, which marks the upper right corner of its territory. It has a low population density of only 9.9 inhabitants per km2 and yerba mate is their main production. Also, people is dedicated to the coffee plantations as well as other agricultural products like soybeans and corn.
